Hi friends, Sasha here with another inspiration featuring beautiful and flawless „Birdhouse” collection. For my last project, I wanted to create something unique and special and up until the last minute I kept changing my mind on what’s it going to be. One thing I knew for sure, it is going to be shaped like a house. I wanted to make an album at first, but I was afraid I won’t have enough time to implement all my crazy ideas, so I decided to make a photo box. Then I though that a photo box doesn’t feel so unique and decided to combine these two ideas and created a project that I named a Photo Holder. This is something similar to a magazine holder, only instead of magazines it holds scrapbook pages similar to the pages of an album. Additionally, I made a pocket inside to store things like tags or envelopes. As an example, I also made one page that would go inside the folder. This page is the same shape as my holder, but how fun would it be to insert pages that are different in shape? This is something that I will be working on next. Also, while I was cleaning up my table I found that this holder is perfect for storing scrapbooking materials like paper pads, ephemera and chipboard packs. To make this project I used a few sheets from the 12×12 pad, lots of fussy cutting elements, and chipboard from the collection. This time I covered the chipboard elements with white embossing powder using a special technique to give the embossing a distressed look. I had so much fun working with the Birdhouse collection and creating a few little paper birdhouse projects for myself, I hope you do as well.
