Hi! My name is Dagmara Klawitter and in our craft world I’m also known as W ręce wpadnie. I’ve been doing paper crafts for over 10 years. In my tiny scraproom I create cards, layouts, photo albums… but I have the greatest affection for boxes of all sorts. I like to create layers on my artworks and use paper elements in the compositions, so I die cut a lot and fussycut even more. Almost everything I create has some flowers on. My great love (just after my Husband, of course) are sweets, so I spend a lot of time in the kitchen, baking and preparing healthy desserts. You may also meet me spending my free time with books, especially the Harry Potter series. I feel honored being here and showing my creations to you as part of the P13 Guest Design Team.
It is my great pleasure to inspire you today with this scrapbooking layout made on canvas. My source of inspiration were photos of my nephew taken last summer at the Baltic Sea. He had a great time those days and I wanted to emphasize it. So, I took the new P13 „Sea La Vie” collection and built few layers with papers and fussy cut elements. On this project I went mostly with blues, grays and beiges but I wanted to have some extra touch of color here and there and coral red spots were great for this task.
Although it is a mixed media project, the most important component here is paper. I used 12×12″ pad. First layer is made with the Sea La Vie 03 sheet – it matches perfectly with the tones of wet sand in the pictures. It shows only a bit, covered by the Sea La Vie 04 paper sheet, but still makes an important ground for the composition. Those two layers are ragged like blown by the sea wind and dusty with the sand.
Making the main composition around my photos, I used graphics cut out from a few Sea La Vie paper sheets. There are some elements from the cover but also those lovely bunches from the Sea La Vie 01. Fussy-cutting is a great pleasure for me and a way of letting off steam! You may also see two chipboard stickers and the caption from the Ephemera pack. My Boy in the pictures really looks as if he was called by the water, don’t you think?
I must say, I am a huge fan of this project. How about you?
