Welcome back in this snowy winter month! I love winter and I am very happy that, unlike in previous years, we’ve got snow. After sledding what could be nicer than hot coffee or tea and a book read on a soft armchair?
Recently I wrote about the fact that I like to read. However, I have to admit something. I have a serious problem. Well, I buy many more books than I read… And last year was extremely tragic. Whenever something bothers me in my life, instead of complaining I try to change it. So without thinking too much I created a plan of action. I started my first bullet journal by using an art journal. I will tell you more about it in the next post. Its first pages are just about reading. To make it easier for me to pursue my reading ambitions I decided to challenge myself a few.
.
The first is to read before bedtime daily. So far I’m doing great! To track the progress I have prepared an annual calendar in the form of a table, the fields of which I will color every day. Since it was much easier for me to draw the table on dotted paper, I reached for a notebook the thin dotted pages of which I plan to stick in all places in my bujo where I will need them. I recommend this solution to you because thanks to it you can enjoy blank surfaces that will not disturb your drawings and at the same time make it easier for example for writing. On the opposite page, I will list the titles of the books that I will finish. This will satisfy my insistent need to catalog everything. Notice how a fantastic frame was created by the shelves with books cut from a sheet of 6×6 paper pad.
On the following pages, I have prepared a place for two more challenges. Both of them say what books I should read but without pointing to a specific title. The first are my ideas the implementation of which I will mark by coloring individual squares. The second one is the reading challenge organized by lubimyczytac.pl portal. Its organizers publish new topics of reading every month. It is all the more challenging as I have no idea what awaits me. Here I want to note the realization by writing specific titles. Again I used pages from a dotted notebook to draw the squares and ractangles. I used the journal sticker sheet to mark the months. I decorated pages with stickers, die cuts, and paper from my beloved collection The Garden of Books. By the way, sometimes I have the impression that I am obsessed with it because I want to do only bookish projects all the time…
