Hi everyone. Today we are going to introduce the first project created by our new Guest Designer – Cheryl. She lives in London with her husband and cat. She has a corporate job during the day and craft at night. There is nothing better than playing with papers and stickers after a busy day – it’s so calming and a great way to stay mindful, she said. Take a look what she has prepared for you today.
Hi crafty friends! Cheryl here today with my first guest designer project using the Have Fun collection.
Everything about this collection is absolutely beautiful! The colours, icons, phrases and of course all of the floral elements are stunning. I decided to create a mini album to document all of those precious memories and used chipboard pieces from my stash and covered them with my favourite patterned paper from the collection. The album measures approx. 4 1/2 x 6 Inches and features a shaker frame on the front cover.
I fussy cut some of the beautiful flower clusters from one of the 12×12 papers and layered them on top of the shaker along with chipboard frames, chipboard stickers, light chipboard flower pieces from the collection, which I have spray painted in light pink, as well as some gold metallic thread for a little bit extra texture. I used bright pink ribbon for the closure and I love the pop of colour it adds to the soft embellishments from the collection.
Once you open up the album you will find an envelope box on the left hand side of the sleeve, which can house small pieces like ephemera, tickets, little treasures and even photos! On the right hand side I have added a fun tag flip, which features a lot of the elements from the collection. I absolutely adore the light chipboard pieces P13 offer – they add such a nice and unique texture to everything.
The front of the tags are decorated, but there’s plenty of space on the back for more photos or journalling! This little album would make such a cute gift for a dear friend.
I hope this project inspired you to create something beautiful to documents those memories!
