Hi friends! I’m back on the blog today with an easter gift I made for a friend. I love creating self-made gifts and easter is the perfect occasion! I used the Spring is calling collection for this one. All the small bunnies and eggs make it the perfect easter collection.
I created a little basket to carry some chocolates for my friend. I cut out two pieces of paper out of the large paper pack and used a border punch for the scalloped edge. One piece a bit wider than the other.
I simply taped the paper together to a size I found fit. To create the bottom of the basket, I simply traced around the cylinder I created out of the patterned paper, then cut the circle out but a bit bigger than the traced circle. Then simply cut around to the pencil line and you can bend all the pieces so you can easily glue the bottom in the basket.
For the handle of the basket I folded the green paper so it’s green on both sides and stuck it between the two layers of the basket. I wrapped pink ribbon around the handle and created a bow on one side of the handle.
So, time to embellish the front of the basket! I took the light chipboard round leave-frame as a base for the embellishment center piece. I clustered some fuzzy cut flowers at the base of the frame and put a light chipboard bunny in front of that. Put some butterflies here and there and of course I had to incorporate that festive banner!
I hope you like it and would love to see your work in our Facebook group! See you next time!
